Technical Sales Specialist

Location of the Job: East of England, Essex, Suffolk, Cambridge - field based.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per year, plus uncapped commission, depending on experience.

The Job Role Details:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Specialist to join the expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:
You will…

  • Be in charge of growing and developing on-farm sales of Fertilisers, Soil Conditioners and Animal Nutrition Solutions.
  • Build long term relationships with the local farming community.
  • Formulate customised recommendations to farmers, by conducting comprehensive soil, crop, and livestock analysis.
  • Plan your own days/weeks with the comprehensive CRM system.
  • Advise farmers on speciality products, understanding their challenges.
  • Building long term working relationships with new and existing distributors.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be…

  • An agricultural degree or a strong agricultural background (related business and/or sales experience will be considered).
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness, with the ability to build good relationships with farmers and growers.
  • The desire for personal growth and passion for self-development.
  • The ability to work independently in a field-based role.
  • A full clean UK driving license.
  • BASIS or FACTS certification (or be willing to work towards this).
