Quality Controller - Soft Fruit

The Company:
A soft fruit production business.
The Job Role:
An exciting opportunity is available for a Quality Controller who will contribute to the overall efficient running of a Packhouse as well as ensuring that quality produce is delivered for consumers.
Salary: From £12.50 per hour + shared accommodation available if required
Location: Herefordshire
Working Hours: 40 - 48 hours per week + Overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Completion of daily, weekly and monthly Quality Control check forms
Thorough understanding of the Quality Management System
Monitoring of approved variety lists
Preparation of customer samples as and when required
Ensure Packhouse is clean at the end of each day and raw material is correctly stored in cold store
Assisting on the production line as and when required
Speaking to auditors (BRC, Red Tractor, Tesco etc) about job role and demonstrating tasks completed, explain what happens if issue arises)
Ensuring product quality is maintained throughout the supply chain
Working closely with the field team to ensure equality issues are promptly feedback and action plans are created.
Candidate Skills and Requirements:
Previous experience of Quality Control would be preferable
Process driven with a keen eye for detail
Computer literate; including Microsoft Office
Good communication skills; verbal and written
Flexible and proactive work ethic
