Horticultural Service and Stores Manager
Location of the Job:
Hardwick, Cambridge, CB23 7QL.
Salary and Benefits Package:
Paying £29,000 - £30,000 basic salary depending on experience.
+ Overtime.
+ Company pension scheme.
Additional information:
This is a permanent full-time position.
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Saturday rota, every other weekend during British Summer time, 3 hours on a Saturday morning.
About The Company:
Mark Weatherhead Ltd are at the heart of modern farming. Primarily McCormick, Krone, Pottinger, Honda and previously Massey Ferguson dealers for over 75 years.
We also support a range of other products and franchises. We hold a large stock of new and used tractors, combines and agricultural equipment, available for transport /shipping across the UK and the World, as well as stocking a wide range of ATV's, UTV's, Trailers, Lawnmowers and other garden machinery and tools including Toro, Hayter, Husqvarna and Honda.
The Job Role Details:
As Service and Stores Manager you will be required to manage and coordinate the service and stores including: Parts in and out of the stores, managing the phone calls, day to day running of the department, to ensure efficiency and provide excellent customer service, planning the Service Engineers day-to-day tasks and organising their workload.
You must have the drive and motivation to understand the company products, all areas of the business, and a good understanding of the dealer network in order to understand and meet both the company's customer needs and expectations.

Manage and order parts in and out of stores to ensure the stores stock is kept in great order.
Serve customers face to face, by phone and online.
Make sure that all parts orders are handled quick and efficiently.
Regularly check and monitor the stores inventory.
Organise the showroom display.
Be aware and advise customers on parts delivery to optimise profitability.
Have good communication skills.
Show flexibility of working hours in season. Be happy to work overtime as and when required.
Build and maintain good relations with customers, suppliers and company staff.
Take part in company training and health & safety training.
Organise the Service Engineers workload.
Arrange for customer collections.
Help out in other departments of the business where required.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:

Experience working in a similar role.
Have a strong knowledge of the Agricultural / Farming / Horticultural / Groundcare sector.
Strong IT skills, communication skills and organisation skills.
Hold a full UK driving licence.
